Inspiration on the doorstep

Saturday, 4th February 2012

The Natural History Museum is a beautiful building and I could have photographed it for hours. These images were taken quickly during the queue and on my way in and out of the museum. The main entrance is so elaborately carved and built, that there is something to see everywhere you look. I will be uploading more images to my Nine Photos Facebook Page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Nine-Photos/191591574201487

I can recommend having a look at the winning images of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year award and you can view some online if you are unable to visit the exhibition itself. The hours and days and weeks, that these photographers undertake to get their shots, is what impresses me the most. It is not always about the equipment, or technique, or post-production processing, but the understanding of their subjects and that is what I will take away from this.
